Concretopia is a short documentary film exploring the modernist architectural movement of Brutalism. Shot on location at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, the film showcases the visionary beauty of Paul Rudolph’s 1963 design for the SMTI (now UMASS) campus.

A meditation on the significance, influence, and progressive ideals behind Brutalism, the film takes viewers on a hypnotizing journey through abstract concrete environments, while celebrating this uncompromising architectural style. The soundtrack, produced by RabbitSquirrel, is a haunting industrial soundscape composed using field recordings of the film’s environments.
